Freedom of the City of London

I had a brilliant day last Tuesday and became a Citizen and Engineer of London!
I became a Freeman of the City of London by Redemption as earlier in the year I became a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Engineers a City of London Livery Company. It was fantastic that lots of family and friends could join me at the ceremony.

Ride the Night Edinburgh 2019

Hi Everyone as you may or may not know I cycled round Edinburgh 100km overnight in July and gosh it was hilly! Many, many thanks to those of you who have donated already. I thought I'd post this as my page is about to close soon and you might like a final opportunity to make a donation to this fantastic cause. Ride the night raises money for Breast Cancer Care, Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust and Ovarian Cancer Action. Thank you to Everyone who helped me raise a fantastic £560! The Page is now closed but my new London 2020 page is open!

Cycling in Japan Autumn 2018

I had the most amazing time cycling in Japan.

My first adventure was to cycle the Shimanami Kaido an amazing cycle route that travels from Shikoku (Imabari) to Honshu (Onomichi) using the road bridges across the islands in the Inland Sea. I've done this journey before by ferry before the bridges were complete in 1998 but have always wanted to cycle it.
My 2nd adventure was exploring Kyoto and Typhoon Trami

My 3rd adventure was cycling the Noto Peninsula and up into the mountains to Shirakawago.

Travels on my bicycle - Along the Canal

Lovely bike ride today Hilton to Tutbury for breakfast at the Castle Cafe then to Stretton and along the canal to Stenson Lock

then Derby Route 66 to Mickleover and then the Great Northern Greenway home. I found some new paths from Littleover to Mickleover - I don't think they are meant for bikes but they were very interesting !
