Day 2 has all the bases covered! I started out at Senso-ji
This is an attempt to improve my walking legs! It's supposed to work if you touch the sandal of the gods! Definitely needed for the whizz tour of Tokyo.
A quick prayer at this Buddhist temple then a water bus down the Sumida river to the Hamarikyu gardens passing the Asahi building with the "golden turd" on the top. It was freezing but luckily 130 yen buys a hand warmer/can of hot coffee out of the vending machine!
I had the obligatory (it's good for you ) cup of green matcha tea in the tea house and then ramen for lunch. We went up the Tokyo Metropolitan Govt building to see the brilliant views of the city and Fuji San except when we got to the top there was just white out snow falling! Another walk in the sleet to the Meiji Shrine shinto prayers this time! Finally we headed for the Shibuya Scramble and the final prayer as you take your life in your hands and join the other million people who cross here every day!!!! Finally back at the hotel now for a hot bath and a gin and something that vaguely resembles tonic! Cheers everyone I'm going out for gyoza later and may remember to take a picture! xx
