Day 12 and another early start!

 

Day 12 and another early start! We went back to Zenkoji temple for the morning service. we stood in line and kneeled to be blessed and the watched part of the morning service before going underground in the pitch black to find the metal key hanging on the wall, in order to gain enlightenment. The key represents the Key to the Western Paradise of the Amida Buddha. Hopefully it'll work!!! after the service we headed further into the mountains and walked to see the snow monkeys - I was amazed how much it had developed as a tourist attraction in the last 5 years - the monkeys were still amazing. Finally a bullet train back to Toyko - and out for the final meal tonight.
